Shower Doors

Shower doors and screens play an important role in protecting your bathroom from water damage, but that doesn’t mean it’s not one of the most stylish and prominent features in your bathroom. This means keeping it maintained and free of water marks is important for your bathrooms’ appearance, a stained shower door can really bring down the vibe of your bathroom… Bur with some regular cleaning this will help keep the streaks and stains away!

We advise you get the following:

Spray Bottle

Distilled Wine Vinegar

Water

Fairy Liquid (or other washing liquid)

Our Easygrip Sponge Cleaner

Squeegee

Microfibre Cloth

Method -

  1. Mix the water, wine vinegar and fairy liquid in equal parts and pour into your spray bottle and give it all a good shake.
  2. Spray your shower doors/screens with the mixture, making sure the entire glass surface is covered.
  3. Leave to soak for 5 minutes.
  4. Using our easy grip sponge, scrub the affected areas. Don’t worry this product will not scratch or damage your glass.
  5. After you've scrubbed the areas to your satisfaction, use the squeegee to remove excess water and suds.
  6. If marks or stains are still appearing simply repeat the process.
  7. Once happy that the stains have been removed, buffer with one of our microfibre cloth to create that shine!

Shower Heads & Taps

Since our shower heads come into contact regularly with hard water, the build up of limescale is inevitable unfortunately. Over time, this can cause annoyances like blockages and affect water flow from your shower head. Descaling can address these issues and keep your shower free from bacteria and mould.

We advise you get the following:

Distilled Wine Vinegar

Fairy Liquid

Plastic Container

3 in 1 Grout Brush

Microfibre Cloth

Method for Shower Heads -

  1. Remove the shower head (if not fixed) from the hose.
  2. Put the shower head in a plastic container and cover it with white distilled vinegar. Do not use malt vinegar! As it is not as effective and can cause brown stains.
  3. Leave the shower head to soak from 30 minutes to an hour (if brass maximum of 30 minutes)
  4. Remove the showered from the vinegar and rinse with lukewarm water
  5. Remove any remaining limescale with the smaller brush from our 3 in 1 grout brush, pay special attention to the nozzle
  6. Rinse again and polish with a microfibre cloth
  7. Reattach the hose and turn on the shower just to flush out any of the remaining limescale.

Method for Taps -

  1. Similar to the shower head you can use distilled vinegar to remove marks and grime from your taps.
  2. Using our 3 in 1 grout brush, start scrubbing at the harder marks and limescale around the rims and edges of your taps. Repeat this until marks and dirt have gone.

Tile Grout

Thankfully, cleaning your grout, especially when mouldy or discoloured is easier than you might think, especially when you have the right tools! It’s also a quick way to transform your bathroom and give it a new lease of life. Whether it’s a top up clean or a deeper clean it’s always important to clean the area thoroughly and remove and get rid of any debris or residue before you target the grout.

We advise you get the following:

Bicarbonate Soda

Distilled White Vinegar

Water

Spray Bottle

Angled 4 Piece Handle Grout Brush

3 in 1 Grout Brush

Method -

  1. Mix warm water, half cup of baking soda and half a cup of white vinegar, mix together until the baking soda has dissolved and pour this into your spray bottle.
  2. Spray the solution over the grout (it’s best to do it in small sections) and leave for up to 5 minutes to work on the grout.
  3. Time to grab your angled grout brush! (This is great to use if you have back problems.) Apply firm pressure when using and scrub at the grout focusing on your more stained areas.
  4. If stains are darker and more resilient try using our small grout brush to focus on the stain and scrub hard. (Unfortunately this means getting on your hands and knees!)
  5. Use a damp cloth to wipe up any dirty liquid and wash out in a separate basin.
  6. Once happy and wiped away all the residue, go over the tiles with a damp cloth or mop and let the tiles sparkle!
